Your new role :

In this project role, you'll engage in various essential tasks, including project financial planning and setup. Collaborating closely with further Operational colleagues, you'll gain insights into construction methodologies, ensuring a smooth workflow. Your responsibilities will extend to managing tender processes, variations and subcontractor claims, and other payment tasks alongside Commercial teams; where precision and attention to detail are crucial.  Additionally, client engagement will be a key aspect, aswell as building strong relationships with stakeholders, engineers, design management teams and any further external liaising is essential. A strong commitment to health, safety, and environment (HSE) and Quality standards. This multifaceted position will leverage your skills and experience effectively, providing a dynamic and productive work environment.

Skills required : 

  • These roles would suit applicants with proven experience in managing high-value construction projects for a main contractor, including any design and build experience.
  • Essential; Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, and or a National Certificate in Carpentry or equivalent trade certification.
  • Desirable; Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
  • You possess great sub-contractor relationship development and management skills. 
  • Proven experience in managing high-value construction projects from inception to completion.
  • You enjoy driving profitability on jobs and have a sharp eye for identifying any variations. 
  • Your contractual knowledge is sound and can point to relevant legislation. 
  • You are a team player and are able to add value as a team member through your individuality.
