Your new role :
In this project role, you'll engage in various essential tasks, including project financial planning and setup. Collaborating closely with further Operational colleagues, you'll gain insights into construction methodologies, ensuring a smooth workflow. Your responsibilities will extend to managing tender processes, variations and subcontractor claims, and other payment tasks alongside Commercial teams; where precision and attention to detail are crucial. Additionally, client engagement will be a key aspect, aswell as building strong relationships with stakeholders, engineers, design management teams and any further external liaising is essential. A strong commitment to health, safety, and environment (HSE) and Quality standards. This multifaceted position will leverage your skills and experience effectively, providing a dynamic and productive work environment.
Skills required :
- At least 3-7+ years of experience in Commercial build as a Senior QS / Quantity Surveyor
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, cost control, and contract administration, in the Otago region is desirable.
- Experience in managing client relationships, including negotiating contracts, handling disputes, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound decisions.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Leadership and teamwork skills.
